Good to know

CODE128 can encode any combination of letters, numbers, and many symbols, which makes it more flexible than numeric-only formats like UPC or EAN — but if you're selling through a retail channel that requires a registered UPC/EAN barcode tied to your business, a CODE128 barcode generated here won't substitute for that official registration.

CODE128 is one of several widely used barcode symbologies, and it's particularly flexible because it can encode the full ASCII character set rather than being limited to digits only, unlike formats such as UPC-A which are strictly numeric and tied to a centrally registered product numbering system.
